I almost missed the chance to say my favorite dog was born 12 years ago today!

We didn’t get a lot of pics today, but she did get a new broccoli chew and a pink dragon toy. She was more excited about the wrapping paper than anything, so I took that away and let her scoop up snow instead.

Speaking of gifts, within the next 2 to 3 weeks, we may find out her actual genetic makeup! A friend gifted us a dog DNA test by Embark for Christmas, and while it took a while, eventually I was able to swab her cheek. That’s in processing now and I’ll let you know what I find.

In the meantime, Happy Birthday to my sweet girl! I didn’t know whether I would get to see her till 12, and I feel so grateful she’s made it.
