Happy Gotcha day to my sweet girl Feebee! I picked her up on Sept 9, 2022 and signed papers the next morning. Here’s what we’ve been up to since then:

• Took lots of long walks around Salt Lake City
• Signed up for Reactive Dog classes & learned to use a Gentle Leader Leash
• Almost moved to rural New England in November
• Got hit by a car instead (luckily Feebs dodged it!) & required a lot of assistance
• Wintered in West Bountiful so Feebs could let herself out while I convalesced
• Met a new dog sitter (who I ended up dating for a while!)
• Rented a pool to see if she liked swimming
• Found out about her heart failure & started on meds
• Got our pictures taken for last year’s Gotcha day
• Visited Best Friends in Kanab again
• Enjoyed Christmas at home in SLC
• Drove across the country together, finally!
• Spent Winter near Burlington, VT
• Watched Spring unfold in rural Central Vermont
• Enjoyed a summer in suburban Massachusetts
• Had a late-night tornado scare
• Chased (but thankfully did not catch) plenty of rabbits & squirrels
• Met new friends (and barked a whole lot at all but one of them)

Above all we’ve enjoyed lots of cuddles, scratches, zooming, snoozing, splooting, tromping, and treats. Feebee has changed my life. I’m not sure what all I believe in these days, but I do believe we were meant to be together, and I’m happy to be able to celebrate another year with this sweet girl.

Our friend Ken sent us some fun AI-made songs for my birthday this year. I’ve been working on making a slideshow thing with one of them and am hoping to finish that up and share it on Feebee’s Tiktok for our official adoption anniversary.
